REVISION

Not to be forgotten are the lovely cards from in-law's Jessie and Tony and parental set Wade and Rene' as well as the wonderful gardening gifts from parental set Kitty-Mom and Harry and the cute clutch from Grandmother, Mimi.
An extra thank you to Tabby, for the gorgeous lip gloss and the moral support when I want to whine.
Thank you all for the thoughts on my day! Love you!

My "27th" Birthday

Well, I turned "27" again this week. With the exception of Josh being gone, it was one of the best birthday's ever!
A quick "Kudos" for Sharon, who--at great peril to her sanity--took my children shopping.
Ok, the day started out perfect. Both children got up the first time I asked them to. No arguing, no begging, just plain getting up and getting dressed. After dropping them at school, I went shopping! I splurged and finally put in the water feature I have been wanting. It turned out really nice, and I managed to build it and only drop one rock on my foot! Pretty good, huh?!
While hopping and cussing, I noticed something else had been added to our yard. I would like you to meet Percy. The new man in my life. Isn't he cute?
In the after noon, I received a delivery from the hubby! He out did himself with roses.

What you don't see are the two boxes of Godiva and my new purse. Love that man o'mine!
I received another delivery that afternoon. This one was from the Awesome Wilhelm's! You can't really go wrong with a 6-pack of Dr.Pepper, a HUGE pack of vanilla cremes, some trashy mags and candles!

We had dinner at the O' household. I was able to open more presents there. The children out did themselves too! I got the new Froud book that I have been wanting, a 3-D puzzle,a really cool pic of the kids in a new frame and the best card a Mom could ever get!
After all that excitement, we then headed over to the Grant's for some cake and MORE Flamingos!
All in all, it was an awesome day. Hopefully I can make a few upcoming birthday's awesome for some of my friends. (wink wink)

I really thought the "rollover experience was done in an actual humvee and that they really rolled you over. Imagine my surprise when Josh sent pics. You can see, he is in the front seat. He looks thrilled. Skye's only question was, "Did he throw up?" . I don't think he did, but it might not be manly to admit it.
Starting to roll
Rolling, my goodness rolling!

So, Jax had his Birthday party yesterday. I was getting all spun up and worried that it wouldn't be any fun. The party started at 2pm. The drama, discounting all the drama from the previous 5 days, started at 1pm.
Our nieghbors on the left just put in a beautiful patio done all in heavy white rock. It is breath taking. Unfortunatly, the left over rock needed to be picked up yesterday. With the stiff wind that was blowing, it took me about 4 minutes to decide to bring the food back into the house until they were done. There was white dust everywhere. That was breath taking too!
Then, the people who bought our trampoline -- 6 weeks ago -- decided to pick it up. AT 1:30!!
They were really fast, and very nice about it. I will be honest, I am glad to have it moved. It will make mowing much easier.
With all that going on, we still had an awesome turn out. We played musical chairs and had a water balloon toss. With lots of cupcakes, soda and sun -- there was neausa running rampant by 5pm. Even with all that, Jax was very happy.
I am looking forward to a quiet week working on Book Fair things. That and going to the gym, grocery store, swim class, boy scouts, cooking class, HOA meeting, Science Fair night and perhaps Sea World. If i'm lucky, I may squeeze a nap in there some time.

It's hard to believe but that little boy there is now 8 years old! Jax turned 8 last night at
10:16 PM. We had a low key B-B-Q at the house to celebrate. The kids all had a blast. Of course, we are also all sunburned. LOL!

Ok......How cute is he?! We know that Josh will be completely protected once he goes over to the sand pit! He is enjoying training in Wisconsin right now. He even got to do the "Humvee Rollover Experience". Sounds like a ride at Disney World. We can't wait for training to end so we get to spend a little more time with big boy before he leaves. Expect more Family Fun Day pictures in May!

We had another family fun day. This time we went to Natural Bridge Caverns. It was so much fun! Of course some people think, "You've seen one cave, you've seen them all." I don't agree. I have always loved going into well lit caves to see cool formations. I can't wait for Skye to get over her height issues so we can repel into them next time. Anyway, we saw lots of cool formations, had a picnic lunch, mined gems, and to cap it all off, Jared climbed a rock wall and we both zip lined. Yes, you read that right! Jared and I -- me, Jenn -- zip lined! I will say that once may have been enough for me. Jared was fearless. Oh, to be 16 again. It was really cool! (ok mostly when it was over)Jax and Skye really liked the mining. They always get excited about looking for those elusive gems. They both have quite a collection now.
