Vacation?!

This week Skye and Jax went to Houston to spend some quality time with Memaw and Papaw (the Tomchesson grandparents), so Josh and I made a list of projects to work on. We needed to re-do our ghetto flower bed, put up a shed, clean out the garage, paint girl's room and rearrange the boy's room. Seems that Mother Nature had other plans for all the outdoor projects! It rained every day they were gone! Not just a little trickle of rain either! We are talking downpours!

Want some good news? We did get Skye's room painted. I was nervous about the colors she chose - lime green and lavander -- but when they were put on the wall, they looked pretty sharp. We have been working ever since to get the murals done BEFORE the kids come home. Needless to say, I don't think that is gonna happen. We are just a little to ambitious.

Anyway, here are a few pics of the progress on Skye's room. The theme?! Fairies, of course. She does have excellent taste! Josh does all the drawing and I do all the painting so it all goes in stages. I promise to add pictures as soon I can. There is a whole other wall with Tink and her work shop that hasn't even begun to take shape yet!

As for Jax's/Jared's room. The theme is pirates. (That's one good thing about our 16 yr old! He is willing to take one for the team.) We just started re arrangeing the room and haven't decided which artistic direction to go yet. You will be the third to know. (1. Us 2. boy's 3. ya'll)
BTW - I haven't gotten the hang of the pic/layout thing so bear with me!

Love the paintings and drawings. Would you guys like to take a business trip out here to do our baby's room. I think I see a home business venture for you 2 in the making -- I mean that.
